TJCCS
Intro
Joined in on the website development team in 2019, Taiwanese Junior Chamber of Commerce Seattle Chapter website was launched on April 28, 2019.
As a team, we’ve divided the website into several sections and assign design responsibilities to each member. I was tasked with the navigation bar, footer, about (page) and membership (external link).
Using what I’ve learned from UX / UI Certification Courses from Bellevue College Continue Education, I started by drafting a simple sitemap…

Navigation Bar
Although I joined in on the project at a later stage, I was tasked to tidy up the navigation bar. Originally all the subpages were scattered across the entire bar, making the website very unprofessional-looking. By consolidating pages under the unified tag on the navigation bar, I was able to transform the interface to more user-friendly, and it is now easier to find the right pages to learn about TJCCS.
Footer
Almost by default, all the business on the internet has a footer whether it’s simple or complex to give a little bit more information about the website. I added a footer in and placed a few common sublinks around the page.
About (page)
When the about page handed to me, it was incomplete with placeholders. I restructured the page to introduce TJCCS, and used subpages to direct users to more information as needed.
Membership (external link)
The external link to purchase a membership on Eventbrite was published for a while. However, it didn’t have any short paragraph to tell users what it was for, and the webpage was unresearchable unless one was given the link. I simply retrieved the link and hyperlinked to TJCCS website and created a short description that explained the benefits of membership subscription.
