Rack Card Design
Intro
This is the first time I was tasked to create a rack card design draft for Seattle Chinese Cultural and Arts Association before approval review by The Bellevue Collection.
About
The biggest challenge I faced while making this rack card is that the previous creator had “shattered” content with text and image boxes littered everywhere under editing view. To fix that I decide to use Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Acrobat DC to consolidate and reorganize. Redesign and use recyclable content from the 2019 program booklet, trimmed to fit into a rack card. Major changes including a new cover design for 2020, no images in content, fonts (Century Gothic, Trebuchet MS, Source Han Sans TW Normal) and update sponsor logos (PNG file for each individual logo instead of pieces puzzle together).
Background
Every year since a decade ago SCCAA has partnered with The Bellevue Collection to present Lunar New Year celebration in February. In the past, SCCAA makes our own program booklet available in addition to the rack card designed by The Bellevue Collection. In 2020, to reduce paper waste and reduce the cost of operation SCCAA has taken partnership a step further by merging program booklet content with the rack card.
